Overview
If your device TrustScore falls below your organization’s configured TrustScore threshold, Banyan blocks access from your device to Banyan-protected apps and services until the TrustScore factors are mitigated and your TrustScore returns above the threshold.
NOTE: The Banyan Desktop App includes remediation instructions and links to OS-specific support articles each TrustScore factor, other than Preferred Apps. Currently, the Banyan MobileApp does not include remediation instructions. Please see the MobileApp remediation instructions section below for more information. |
After you change the device feature(s), the updates are automatically sent from the BanyanApp (once every hour). To manually send current device features to Banyan, you can:
- In the Banyan Desktop App, click the settings cog and then click Send Device Features.
- In the Banyan MobileApp or Desktop App, quit and then restart the app.
Desktop App
The Banyan Desktop App includes remediation instructions and links to OS-specific support articles each TrustScore factor, other than Preferred Apps. Generally, if a TrustScore Factor is not compliant, you can click into it, review the instructions, and (optionally) click the support URL for more information.
The example below shows a macOS device having a disabled Firewall. After clicking The Firewall is disabled, the Desktop App displays helpful information regarding regarding why it is considered a factor, its current status, and a link to an Apple support article explaining how to enable the firewall.
